Jorge Rocha is associate professor and researcher of the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning – University of Lisbon. He is MSc. in Geographic Information Systems (University of Lisbon) and 

Spatial Planning and GIS and Remote sensing (Nova University of Lisbon) and PhD in Geographic Information Science (University of Lisbon). Jorge is the coordinator of the Laboratory of Remote Sensing, Geographic Analysis, and Modelling (Geomodlab) and of the Postgraduate Update
