Bionote:
Paula Cristiana Costa Garcia da Silva Patrício completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2009 at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência and the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Mathematics Department at NOVA School of Science and Technology, Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
P. Patrício serves as Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) for the project “Mathematical Modelling of Multi-scale Control Systems: Applications to Human Diseases” (CoSysM3) (2023-2026). Previously, she led the project “Game Theory and Epidemiology” (2014-2016) as Principal Investigator and contributed as a researcher to various other projects, including the COVID-19 pandemic-focused initiative “COVID-19 in-CTRL” (2020-2022), led by INSA.
Her research interests lie in the field of differential equations, with a specific focus on mathematical models applied to infectious diseases.
